We Broke Something!

Can you find Mardy and Andrea in this picture?

When do you ever get the chance to break something without getting in trouble for it!!!  Well, at 9:16 am on Friday, August 26th, I was one of the 658 people, including Andrea Petkovic and Mardy Fish, who broke the Guinness World Record for the "most people bouncing a tennis ball on a tennis racquet in one location."

I showed up with Erik from Adjusting The Net at 7:45 am, and was greeted by hundreds of children and their parents waiting in line to get their Wilson t-shirts, balls, and racquets.  The Wilson team and volunteers did a fantastic job organizing the event (can you imagine trying to organize 600 children!).

Initially the kids had a lot of fun playing tennis on the courts with their 10 and under racquets and balls.

These two kiddos were absolutely adorable!

Then the real fun began.  Petko and Mardy did a practice run during which Mardy purposely kept knocking Andrea's hand to mess up her ball bouncing skills, but when it came to the real deal, everyone was calm and collected as they bounced the ball on their racket for the 10 second time period needed to break the record.

It was definitely an experience I'll always remember.
