Serena Williams claimed her 18th major and 6th US Open title today, beating close friend Caroline Wozniacki in the final 6-3 6-3. Serena is now tied second with Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova on the all-time Grand Slam winners list. So, how does one celebrate such an amazing achievement? By partying with the girl she beat, of course!

Here's something I hadn't seen before... Caroline Wozniacki lost a point because her racket got stuck in her hair! Guess that's the risk you take when you have such pretty, long hair. She bravely tried to play the point, (I say brave because that could have hurt!), but failed. She won the match anyway.

CINCINNATI – No longer the ingénue of the WTA, former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki is learning with age comes wisdom. And, more importantly, she is putting that knowledge to good use.
“I’m in a great place right now, and I feel like I have been working really hard. You know, this is the part of the season I really like. I love playing on grass. I love the U.S. Open Series,” she said after her first-round win at the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati.
“It’s definitely a part of the season I play well in. It’s definitely a confidence boost. I won Istanbul and kind of went from there.”
The 24-year-old Dane defeated Magdaléna Rybáriková of Slovakia: 6-2, 6-3. She next will play China’s Zhang Shuai, who beat Great Britain's Heather Watson: 6-3, 2-6, 7-5.
“I felt good out there today. I felt like I played really well,” Wozniacki said. “I managed to kind of keep my head cool, and I felt like I was pressuring her back. You know, she had to run a lot. I felt like I was in charge of the points.”
She said her goal for the rest of the season is simple: Win.

Bernard Tomic compounded his straight set loss to Richard Gasquet by wearing this jacket to his press conference. News.com.au summed it up best when they asked who wore it better:
Caroline Wozniacki finally broke her silence, (and updated her profile picture) when she tweeted about her break-up with Rory McIlroy.
It's a hard time for me right now. Thanks for all the sweet messages!Happy I support Liverpool right now because I know I'll never walk alone— Caroline Wozniacki (@CaroWozniacki) May 22, 2014
Serena Williams responded with her own tweet, letting her know she has Caro's back. It's nice to see such friendship on the WTA, I've always thought reports of bitchiness were exaggerated.
Rory McIlroy fronted up for a difficult presser at the BMW PGA Championship yesterday, just hours after his statement confirming his split with Caroline Wozniacki was released. McIlroy's statement had made it pretty clear who did the dumping, but in the presser McIlroy tried to back track a little over who was to blame.
"Yeah, obviously quite a difficult time for Caroline and myself, and I think the statement really said it all this morning. It was mutual and amicable and we both thought it was the best for us, the best for both of us. Time to move on and I think I've said all that I need to say," he said.
Um... pretty sure if you get cold feet after wedding invites are sent out that's NOT a mutual break-up. And McIlroy has a history of breaking hearts; he broke that of his High School sweetheart when he hooked up with Wozniacki. Uh oh, this boy might be trouble...
No word from Caroline yet but her Twitter profile picture is still of her and McIlroy on the golf course. Let's hope she's doing Ok.
Well apparently they had... and now it's off.
McIlroy released a statement explaining that he is not ready for marriage and has ended his relationship with the Danish tennis player.
