Queen's Victory Sends AndyMurrayometer To 6 Month High

With his win over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the rain delayed final at the Queen's Club, the AndyMurrayometer went to a 6 month high and Andy Murray is now 77% British!

If you are not familiar with the running joke of whether Andy is British or Scottish, click here and go to the 2:45 mark (although I highly suggest you should watch the whole thing because it is pretty funny.)

Of course now that he's winning again, there is going to be a lot more Murray Mania at Wimbledon, but it seems like this guy isn't feeling any pressure:

I'm going to Wimbledon with the feeling that I'm going to win the tournament. I don't think you can go in with any other attitude. I feel like I'm playing good tennis.

He sounds like a bona fide contender for the title which, if he won, would send the meter off the charts.  Only 5 days before it starts!

Video: Rafael Nadal Takes A Tumble At The Queen's Club

During his match against Radek Stepanek, Rafael Nadal took a pretty big tumble when he attempted to close out a point at the net.  Radek was nice enough to come around and help the big guy up, but Rafa didn't repay the favor, beating him 6-3, 5-7, 6-1 to advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament.

Rafa must have had a ridiculous grass stain on his arse after that fall.  Hope someone got him some Clorox Bleach, stat!

This Never Gets Old: Rafael Nadal French Open Champion

Rafael Nadal won his 6th French Open crown today, tying the great Bjorn Borg for the most titles won at this event in history, and solidifying himself as the King of Clay, (if that was ever in doubt).

Don't Count This "Old Man" Out

Does this look like a man that is ready to give up and throw in the towel so that the new generation of possible G.O.A.T.s can take his place?

No one had been talking about Roger Federer for the past two weeks as he stealthily progressed through each round of Roland Garros without dropping a set.  Most of the journalists and commentators had already placed Novak Djokovic in the final, and were posing the question of whether Rafa would or could break "The Streak."

Federer Reclaims Tweener Glory

Earlier this week, at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia Open, Rafael Nadal hit one of the prettiest tweeners I've ever seen, dethroning the King of All Tweeners Roger Federer (much like he dethroned him from his number 1 spot.)  But Fed didn't get mad, he got even, and hit something I've never seen before, a tweener while facing forward.  Roger eventually went on to lose the match to Richard Gasquet, but at least with that shot, he can reclaim his Tweener glory.

Trending: Paolo Lorenzi

Who you ask?  Paolo Lorenzi is the number 7 Italian player, ranked 148 in the world whose career highlight just might have come today when he took a set off Rafael Nadal in front of his home crowd at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia Open.

He gave Rafa's fans a bit of a scare when his all-court game made the Spaniard look like this in the first set.

Of course, Rafa came back and won the match 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-0, but Lorenzi should be proud of what he did, especially since it was on clay.  And if that doesn't make him feel good, he can at least say he trended on Twitter.
