Ana Ivanovic and Caroline Wozniacki named Dubai Duty Free Ambassadors

Caroline Wozniacki and Ana Ivanovic have both been named Dubai Duty Free Global Brand Ambassadors.  The Ambassador Program is part of the renewed partnership between Dubai Duty Free and the WTA.  Caroline and Ana both seemed delighted with their new roles, (via The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships website):

"Dubai has a special place in my heart and it feels great to return this year as defending champion of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.  Being an ambassador for Dubai Duty Free is a great honor and it gives me the opportunity to help promote one of my favorite destinations," said Caroline Wozniacki. 

"I am really flattered that Dubai Duty Free asked me to become its brand ambassador.  It is a great company that has also been extremely supportive of women’s tennis.  I always get excited about traveling to Dubai as it is one of the most exciting cities in the world," said Ana Ivanovic.

I am really excited about the beginning of the 2012 season because for me, and I would wager for many of you, TENNIS, whether watching it or playing it, is the best therapy money can't buy.  So, are you ready for the 2012 season to begin?  Just to wet your appetite, here are some tennis happenings around the globe:

In 2012, in addition to betting on your favorite player, you can place a bet on which "glamour couple" will do the best this season.  It's Wozzilroy vs.  Scottovic.  Let the games begin.

I am really excited that Venus Williams will be back on the big stage in 2012.  In this article, which has excerpts from her upcoming People magazine interview, Venus talks about her journey since being diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome.   In other Venus news, if you are a college student in the South Florida region, listen up!  V is holding a t-shirt contest where you can win a chance to meet her at the Sony Ericcson Open in Miami!

Andy Murray's Funny Interviews in Shanghai

Andy Murray was THE MAN at the Shanghai Rolex Masters, where on Sunday he successfully defended his title, completed the Asian hat trick, and passed Roger Federer in the rankings as the new number 3 in the world.

During the course of the tournament, Andy gave a couple of pretty funny interviews that I think you will enjoy.  The first interview is the video above in which he had to chose between Ana Ivanovic and Caroline Wozniacki, Adele and Lady Gaga, and.....perfume and a tie??  Yeah, he didn't get that question either, but it sure gave him the giggles!
