There were rumors circulating in the Twitterverse, but many of us didn't believe them.  Maria Kirilenko seemed happy and in-love with her boyfriend Igor Andreev and there was no way she broke up with him and started dating the toothless wonder Alex Ovechkin, but clearly we were wrong:
