Yesterday was a pretty big cause for celebration in Australia, with Adam Scott becoming the first Australian to win the Augusta Masters. But for me, today is even more important. For I suspect that today may be the one and only day this winter that Victoria chooses not to feature AFL on the back page of the newspaper. With that in mind, I stumbled across a story from the Sunshine Coast Daily that revealed Adam Scott could have been a tennis star.
Tennis fans have long had a crush on Scott thanks to his previous relationship(s) with Ana Ivanovic. So the news that he excelled in tennis at school brings with it a lot of 'what ifs.' For example, would Rafael Nadal have modelled Armani underwear if Adam Scott was an option? Similarly, would Pat Rafter be considered Aussie's top tennis hunk if Scott was currently swinging a racket instead of a club? Would Scott and Ivanovic have made it down the aisle if they could have spent more time playing tennis together? So many questions, but sadly Scott chose golf, and any evidence of his tennis prowess remains only in this photo.
