Serena Williams won't date for the next decade

Serena Williams recently told Celebuzz, at her Sleep Sheets launch in NY, that she has had so much heartache that she won't date for the next...wait for it.....DECADE!! Apparently her last relationship (not sure whether that was Drake or Common) was so heartbreaking that she refuses to go through that pain again.  She tells Celebuzz,

I have given up on dating, It just hasn’t worked out well for me.

I’m a really emotional person. I give my all and everything. I do make mistakes — like every human does — but the last relationship just was too much of a heartbreak for me. I just can’t go through that anymore. It was hard.

I just have to remove myself from that atmosphere for about the next decade or so.  I can’t get involved.

Girl....I understand heartache but are you really gonna wait till you're 40 to date again! That sounds cray cray!  However, that doesn't rule out that she won't have a fling every now and again....a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

Any man that would break the heart of such an incredible woman can't be much of a man I can understand why she would feel the she does and she should never have too

Get in a serious relationship with God 1st and a real man will show himself. It may take you 10 years to solidify yourself with God.

Maybe you should date a man... and not a kid... who's claim to fame is getting drunk on a Saturday night... and smokin' weed till day light!

I agree with the posters that suggested she solidify her relationship. I too am on a hiatus Serena. Let's pray that God blesses us both with good men when He feels we are ready!

Also, for the men who have made snyde comments suggesting that Serena is not an attractive woman, trust and believe that you are far from her prince charming. gone!

It's OK Serena. A brief rest should do ya good. Take care of Venus, meanwhile. I am hoping you guys are ready to rock tennis again. Miss y'awl.

Child, please! You've just been settling for garbage. Just be patient and wait for the right man to come along. It'll happen.

Actually, I think the problem might be that she intimidate her 'dates'. She's very pretty, famous, powerful, rich; basically she's her own person. She doesn't have to kiss anyone's a** and that often times make an already insecure man just plain .... well, weak and scared.

Just keep doing what you do,Serena. There's no need to be a Kim Kardashian clone (laying down and sleeping with anyone on two legs).

And, on another note, what is that she's holding in her hand?

I think Serena has a residence in Paris. Girl, THAT'S THE PLACE TO GO. Romance blooms all year long, and you don't have to deal with those idiosyncracies of these egotistical American men. Whatever you decide, whatever you do, I wish you ALL THE BEST, Serena!

Serena, you are a beauiful woman and a great tennis player. Theses things are known and known well. You are well known around the world. Not necessary for all the right reasons, but you are who you are. I just want to say this, What are your expectation of yourself? What do you hope to gain mentally? Stardom money, a career, and beauty are there. These things you have, but what do you really want inside for Serena? We all have emotions which at times becomes a liability rather than an asset. Be humble and trust in GOD and those things shall be add unto you. Good luck and keep the faith. You are a Good person with a full life to live.

Girl just needs a time off. She'll be back on the dating scene in less than a five months.

every body has a soft spot.pain is for every body but lost love hurts the most. Serena u can date without falling in love. Treat dating like a tennis game and you will never get hurt.
