Serena Williams' HOT Body

Serena Williams is representing all the ladies that, "want to be healthy and not starve themselves," in  People Magazine's 'Hottest Bodies 2011.'  Here is what the tennis star said about her body image:

When did you realize you were not built like most athletes?

I was 17, playing in the US Open, and this one lady said, "You need to wear a better bra."  That's when it clicked for me that I was really curvyA DD chest is not what you normally see in the locker room.

What do you get the most compliments on?

It's all about my butt.  I like Brazilian-cut bikini bottoms in the back.  Some people think it's too small, but I'm like, "Whatever!"

Do you get insecure about any areas?

Sometimes my stomach poufs out a little bit, and I feel like my legs aren't as tight as I like them to be.

How do you feel when you are photographed on the beach in your bikini?

In the beginning it was weird, but I'm ok with it.  I represent ladies who want to be healthy and not starve themselves.

She looks great in that photo, and as a lady who isn't stick thin, I only wish I had 1/2 of her confidence.  Check out all the 'Hottest Bodies' in People, on newsstands Friday.

Thanks to Miami Tennis News for the tip!

As a DD woman myself, I really wish that I had half as much confidence as Serena does. You can tell she loves her body by the way she wears whatever the hell she feels like wearing and that she is not afraid to show off her assets. Good on you and good on her for saying the stuff that many women who read these magazines wish celebs would say. You can be healthy but you do not need to look like a starving dog.

Totally agree. I feel like we could all take a little advice from Serena. She inspires me to just live life and embrace who I am, not what society thinks I should be.

she aint no anna k or maria s is she?

Don't understand the hype!! She's well-endowed and that's about it!! I also lost respect for her when she cursed out a lines person on national TV a few years ago causing her to forfeit a match--classless!!

Is it me or anyone that has seen Serena's body over the years can tell thats not hers. Why does the body in the article resembles something you would see in a more caucasian type magazine. Serena is alot more curvy, thick and muscular than that picture above. Also, she is a lot darker than that fake airbrush they have posting. Give us back our true, dark(chocolate), thick n curvy sister. If you dont like the curves then don't why take their pics? Many of us love the curves on our sisters and thats what we wants to see. SMH.... U going to tell me that's Serena's hips, U got to be kidding me.

That isn't Serena's body. There are pictures of Serena on the beach in Miami and she doesn't look like this. She has been photoshopped!!

@lori anne No, she's not Maria S or Anna K that is the point

@Tom, yes, what she did at the US Open was inexcusable, but the hype is really about her mental toughness coming back from so many injuries. Plus, the WTA needs her right now.

@ Kev and John , she actually tweeted a regular picture of herself recently, that looks just like that photo, you can check it out http://onthegotennis.com/home/serena-steals-the-show.html and then determine how photoshopped she is.

Nope, nope, nope. It ain't her. Photoshopped fer sure. I personally liked her and Venus better when Richard first unleashed them on an unsuspecting American public. Straight ghetto. Hair under their pits. Don't call me a liar, cuz it's true. I bet their downstairs hair snaked halfway up to their belly button! I love that rockin' curvy chocolate body with that big a@#, big hips, thick thighs, and great bouncing boobies! Serena rocks, but don't show us some skinny a@# white chicks body with some color thrown on it. It's degrading to her, and ruins it for us.

Ummm. Ok. I do think that she looks lighter in this photo, but if you look at a twit pic she sent about a week ago from her personal camera (no photoshop) her body looks almost identical. Everyone gets photoshopped a little, but it's not much in this picture. There is a link to the picture in the comments above.

Hey Tom, guess what every single player on the ATP and WTA Tour are guilty of some misdemeanour, some of them more egregious than what Serena did. Get over it and please get over yourself.

Yes the photo is photo-shopped, but the point is that she looks good. She is showing the world that you do not have to be rail thin in order to be healthy and sexy. Too many young girls are out there looking at pictures of celebrities and thinking that they have to look like that. Serena is promoting a healthy body type and image and frankly some of the women on the WTA would do well to look at Serena and try to adopt a healthy body type *looking at you Cirstea, Ivanovic and Hantuchova*

Serena had an outburst at the US Open. McEnroe and Connors cursed umpires and linesmen all of the time!! Roddick drops f-bombs all of the time. Stuff happens!! She did not physically hurt anyone and apologized!! People who hate her will hate her no matter what she does. She is good for tennis and I hope she and Venus play more tournaments. They are the ONLY threat for the US in the Grand Slams events and Fed Cup.

Serena Williams is one of the greatest athletes (male or female) in the history of the world. She doesn't have 13 (and counting) Grand Slams because somebody handed them out to her just to be nice. She has 13 (and counting) Grand Slams because she's one of the best people to ever pick up a tennis racquet. Period. Let me repeat. 13 (and counting) GRAND SLAMS. Now Serena is a woman of color. And as such, she has a BEHIND and plenty of boobage. She's hot. She's curvy. In other words, she's a WOMAN. You 13 year old boys who don't know how to appreciate a woman who's not looking like some stick-thin little boy...grow up and try to be a man. You couldn't handle a woman like Serena Williams anyway. That's her body and she's in immaculate shape. She can sure run laps around you haters. And while I'm at it, Serena is JUST as beautiful as Maria Sharapova and Anna Kournikova. Just because this white-centric society wants to put a white girl as the "center-fold" of beauty, doesn't mean that's REALITY. Serena is not ugly by any stretch. You folks who talk like that are what I call Haters. Maria Sharapova don't look better than Halle Berry. Neither does Anna K. So don't even go there. This ain't about looks anyway. It's about a woman loving her body and she's at the top of her game. So go throw away that Haterade and learn to appreciate a real woman. Because you were born of a woman. Who had curves. And if she didn't have them, she sure developed them when she carried your dumb butt. It's always the fat slobs who try and tear down other people. Such haters. They WISH they could look as good or be as wildly successful as Serena Williams. Don't even go there.

Are people really trying to say that Serena Williams photo is photoshopped? Man, a girl can't get a break can she? Serena Williams looks amazing. I wish I had her body. And her money too. People who don't know squat about cameras always scream "photoshopped this, photoshopped that" but they don't even know what photoshopping a picture MEANS. It means taking out the imperfections, filling in hair, stuff like that. They can't give you a whole new body that you don't HAVE. No magazine is that stupid. They'll slim a leg or curve a behind more, but that's about it. And Serena's had this body in public for about 16 years now. She's always looked like this. Where have you been?
June 19, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterKaren K.
Serena Williams has to be the most scrutinized athlete, on or off the court. That's too bad that, this article, nor the following comments talk nothing about her as an athlete. She has been objectified to the hilt. And just once, just once, I would like to see comments about a female athlete that does not become a race war. If you prefer blondes over brunettes, Euros over African Americans, so be it. We can all be beautiful. Finding beauty in one does not make another less attractive. What becomes ugly, though, are the negative comments. So, let's remember the tenet, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all", before saying something inappropriate. She is a confident woman who appreciates her physical assets. If you don't, think it, but don't say it, please.

@Riles You would be shocked at the comments I've deleted on this thread! Thank you so much for stating how I feel more eloquently than I would be able to say it myself :)

Just to keep it real, here are some bikini photos of Serena from April of this year.
It will confirm that the picture above has been photoshopped.

Serena has also had a nose job which is probably one of the reasons she has been off the court for so long.
June 20, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterJim
@ Jim, if you actually watched tennis you would see that Serena hasn't had a nose job, and she's been off the court for some serious illnesses. When she has make up on, she, like many other women use contouring to make her nose look different, but when she is on the court she looks like the same Serena she's been for years. Make sure you have your facts straight before you make silly comments.

Looks like Serena lost at least 50 lbs just for this photo, and put it back on the next day.
