Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:16AM Victoria Azarenka and Caroline Wozniakci plant trees in ThailandTennis has started, TENNIS HAS STARTED! I want to run around and scream that from the top of my lungs, but since I don't want people to think I am odd, I'll just scream it on here.
I am really excited about the beginning of the 2012 season because for me, and I would wager for many of you, TENNIS, whether watching it or playing it, is the best therapy money can't buy. So, are you ready for the 2012 season to begin? Just to wet your appetite, here are some tennis happenings around the globe:
In 2012, in addition to betting on your favorite player, you can place a bet on which "glamour couple" will do the best this season. It's Wozzilroy vs. Scottovic. Let the games begin.
I am really excited that Venus Williams will be back on the big stage in 2012. In this article, which has excerpts from her upcoming People magazine interview, Venus talks about her journey since being diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome. In other Venus news, if you are a college student in the South Florida region, listen up! V is holding a t-shirt contest where you can win a chance to meet her at the Sony Ericcson Open in Miami!
In addition to missing the Williams sisters, I've also really missed Kim Clijsters. If you have missed her too, check out this video of her in Brisbane hanging out with her new friend Theresa!
Dani has got legs for days....
I think I just fell in love with David Ferrer even more (which I didn't think was possible), he prefers to be a "thinker" than a "sportsman."
Ana Ivanovic is a "Natural Beauty" as if we didn't already know... :)
Some wonderful quotes on how tennis can reveal a lot about the meaning of life.
and finally....
Take a peek at what SI deems are the best tennis photos of 2011.
Happy Holidays everyone!
