Quick Q & A With Caroline Wozniacki

While at the Sony Ericsson Open, I had the chance to have a comfy chat, (comfy because instead of the regular folding chairs we did our interview a nice leather couch - upgrade!) with Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki.  She truly embodies her nickname "Sunshine" because her smile lights up a room and is infectious!  Enjoy!

What is your passion outside of tennis?

I love baking!

What is your favorite thing to bake?

Everything!  All cakes - chocolate cakes, cookies, bread.  All different kinds of things.

What is something that annoys you?

When someone is not honest, or lies to you and then turns around and is a completely different person.

What are you most afraid of?

Spiders and heights.  If I am outside and I feel like I can fall down I don’t like that.

Do you have any guilty pleasures?

I love chocolate.

What is your favorite movie?

Titanic or the Hangover.

Those are completely different movies!

Yeah they are completely different I know!   I usually like movies that make me laugh, but Titanic is just a movie that I can watch over and over again and I keep crying every time I watch it.  I think it’s the only movie I watch that makes me cry.

Are you going to see Titanic in 3D?

I heard it’s coming out.  Definitely.

What is your favorite food?

I like chicken fajitas and I like my mom’s chicken curry.

What is your favorite city?

New York.

What is your favorite type of music?

I like R & B and pop.  I think Rihanna is unbelievable.

A lot of you guys [tennis players] like Rihanna!  What is your favorite Rihanna song?

The one with Drake "Take Care", and the one where they actually filmed the music video in Northern Ireland -"We Found Love".

And then I love Adele as well - "Set Fire To The Rain".

What is the last thing that you read?

"Tick Tock" by James Patterson.

What is your most embarrassing moment that you would be willing to share?

Probably wearing a nice dress and high heels and then falling down the last step.  But actually, you know when that happened there was someone next to me who grabbed me so it wasn’t THAT embarrassing.

Where was that?

We were going to a formal party and I was going down the stairs and the spotlight is on you and BAM! there I would have gone.  I’m glad that I was ok. 

If there was a fire and you could only save one thing, not a person, what would you save?

Probably some pictures.  A picture with the whole family together.  One with my grandma and everyone who is not here anymore.

If you had one superhero ability, what would it be?

I’d like to fly, even though I am afraid of heights because if I could fly then I wouldn’t be afraid of heights because I would never be falling down!
