Maria Sharapova topped the Sports list of Forbes' annual '30 Under 30' which was released yesterday. So what are the reasons she tops the list?
1. She is still the world's highest paid female athlete, netting a whopping 29 million in 2013.
2. She launched her first independent business, Sugarpova.
3. She is covering the Sochi Winter Olympics for NBC.
I'm still not totally sold on the correspondent part, as she can get a little goofy in interviews, but I'm hoping she'll figure it out.
Andy Murray and Kei Nishikori also made the list - Andy for winning Wimby and for Kei raking in the $$ without having a Slam to his name. The latter is something that Caroline Wozniacki knows all too well, but she still rounded out the list by being the seventh highest paid female athlete in the world. Seriously, who needs a slam?
Below is Maria's interview with Forbes. Enjoy!
