Juan Monaco's Live Chat on Twitter

If you missed it, Pico, (Juan Monaco) did a live chat on Twitter today.  Initially the camera wasn't working, therefore when it did start working, Pico had NO idea he could be seen online.  He even took a phone call without knowing that we were watching.   The phone call was from the hosts of the Argentinian radio program PERROS DE LA CALLE. 

The whole thing made you feel a bit creepy as if you were a stalker, but in a totally awesome way.

If you don't speak Spanish, here are some of the funny things Pico said while on the phone and when he was responding to the live chat, which has been translated graciously by my friends at Doble Mixto and the Novak Djokovic Fan Club:

When realizing the twit cam was on when he was on the phone:

When I am talking with you guys, the people watching this listen to us?

This is crazy man.

Wait, now I'm ashamed because I don't know how long I was online. Thankfully I didn't do anything, haha.

More people are watching me here than when I play tennis.

When asked to show his hotel room by the hosts of the radio show:

Wait, because the internet cable is connected, and I don't want it disconnected after all the trouble I did to make this.  This is the balcony I told you about.  The internet cable is too short.  Wait, now the phone cable is tangled with the other cable.  There is the bathroom...

When asked about why there were two beds in the room (which the radio host implied was weird):

I have two beds that I joined, but nobody slept here! I sleep alone.  It is not weird, it is more comfortable, I have more space.  I asked for a single room, but I don't know why I have to beds!

His "hairy" situation:

I took a shower in the club, but I haven't got shampoo! Because of that I have this hairy situation.  

I think I will have a hair-cut when I get back to Buenos Aires. I will change my look...short hair. 

Someone apparently told Pico to buy a brush, and he responded:

But I came to play tennis, not for a cat-walk.

On having a girlfriend:

I am doing great single, I don't want a girlfriend! 

Someone asked whether he had a girl hiding under the bed:

The Swedish girl is under the bed, I hide her, haha. 

On Rafa:

To all the people on Twitter, I have news: Rafa is coming. He is gonna make an explosion here.

On tennis:

This is a job, but generally I have a great time.  That also depends if you win or not.

Someone asked him to get Ana Ivanovic's email:

 If I get it and I send an email, It'll appear like spam, haha  [He thinks Ana will block him]

On futbol:

I watched Argentina's match alone here in the room.  I can't believe it that we lost.

On the whole experience:

I never did a twit cam, it's good fun.

It's great, but I'm afraid abut the repercussion.  Maybe I say a stupid thing and then they'll show it on tv, and I look like a fool. 

Also, he said that he is currently watching the "Millenium Triology" by Stieg Larsson and is reading the books "Cuestión de Pelotas" and "En Realidad."

The video is about 20 minutes long, but worth it!  Enjoy!
