French Open Recap Day 6
Friday, June 1, 2012 at 8:49PM I guess we are making it a "thing" by doing a recap every other day. This one is short but sweet. Enjoy!

Sloane!: Well Americans on Chatrier have been….well….miserable. So what to do? Stick an American teenager out there against a French woman? Sure! Doh. Thankfully, Sloane Stephens lived up to the challenge, taking out Mathilde Johansson in straight sets.
And The Rose Goes To….: Well today was their first date. She wore a pretty skirt, a fab do, and big earrings. He wore….shorts? Young love….or mixed doubles? Serena Williams and Bob Bryan played their first match today as a team. It was a little weird, and slightly unsuccessful, as they lost to Argentineans Gisela Dulko and Eduardo Schwank. Come to think of it, that does sounds like a first date. Maybe Chuck Woolery can put them on the Love Connection to see if there is enough chemistry to warrant a second one in London.
More Fashion Funerals: We lost Venus’s dress. We lost Serena’s dress the other day, and now we lose Ana’s.

Ana Ivanovic went down in 3 sets to Sara Errani today. In a world of what-were-they-thinking, totally-acceptable-but mediocre dresses, and trying-too-hard-to-be-fashionable ones, this one was a winner. But alas. Who do we turn to now?
