Andre Agassi on 60 Minutes: Drugs, Relationships, and Addressing his Critics

Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation's Grand Slam For Children - Arrivals

Andre Agassi was interviewed today by Katie Couric about his new autobiography "Open" where he details his life in tennis, including his abuse of crystal meth, his failed marriage to Brooke Sheilds, and his obsession with his image, (so much so that he wore a weave when he was going bald prematurely).

He addresses all these topics in the interview, and in addition he addresses the criticism he has received for opening up about his crystal meth use.  The most emotional part of the interview is when he responds to Martina Navratilova's harsh statements about his drug abuse.

There is also some bonus video with Andre and his wife Steffi playing tennis. Check it out below.

I love Andre. I think what Martina, Roger, and Rafa said about his drug use is disgraceful and so not classy. I was, however, intrigued by the NYTimes book review of Open, out today. It also gives an interesting perspective.
