Andre Agassi Admits to Drug Use During Career

Tennis Legend Andre Agassi used crystal meth in 1997.  The news was first made public on Twitter on Tuesday.  In a tweet now deleted, Sports Illustrated employee Richard Dietsch stated:

FYI: There's an off-the-charts book excerpt from Andre Agassi in the forthcoming SI: He admits to taking crystal meth during his career

Paul Bogaards, director of media relations at Knopf, a divsion of Random House confirmed the news stating:

"Those excerpts contain revelations about Andre's use of crystal meth when he was a tennis player." 

The book, "Open: An Autobiography" will be excerpted in People and Sports Illustrated this week. It's out November 9.
